Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld
Research & Study

University and non-university scientific institutions are located on the research campus. The combination of powerful particle accelerators and a variety of research methods that scientists can use here is unique in the world. The range of disciplines on site is correspondingly broad: from the theoretical foundations of physics, chemistry and biology, the development and construction of particle accelerators to practical applications in materials science and research into artificial intelligence, which helps to interpret masses of data from experiments. The jointly used research and work infrastructure provides innovative impetus in research issues and leads to the development of new techniques and technologies.
