A new district for everyone.

Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld

In the Science City, people come together and jointly develop ideas for a better life of tomorrow. Internationally leading institutions conduct research under excellent conditions in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and pharmacology and look for new ways to apply the research findings gained - for example for questions of health, digitalization, AI or for the development of sustainable materials. Connected to the interdisciplinary campus with a new generation of buildings and research facilities, a unique environment for innovative research-based companies is being created. At the same time, the Science City is a lively neighborhood in which highly attractive residential areas, green open spaces and a sustainable mobility concept are being implemented.

"Together with the largest and most important companies and players, we are currently working intensively on solutions in the north to make building more affordable again. One key approach is to reduce building standards, optimize planning and construction processes and speed up approval procedures. At the same time, we are designating building land, investing significantly in public infrastructure and thus continuing to offer the construction industry many investment opportunities. Because Hamburg is and will remain one of the most attractive real estate locations in Germany and beyond thanks to its location and pioneering projects."
