Center for Structural Systems Biology

Building

In the Centre for Structural Systems Biology (CSSB), three universities and six research institutions are dedicated to the question of how diseases develop - one of the many successful collaborations at Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld.

Plenty of room for collaboration between researchers and students in the CSSB building

To carry out their research, CSSB scientists use the first-class research infrastructure at DESY in combination with in-house imaging techniques such as cryo-electron microscopy.

Research in the Research Hotel

Furthermore, with its unique Research Hotel concept, the CSSB aims to help young researchers make the transition from postdoctoral researcher to independent group leader status. Researchers at the CSSB Research Hotel have their own lab space and are fully integrated into the CSSB research environment.
