Lighthouse

The Lighthouse Visitor Center at the world's largest X-ray laser, the European XFEL, will open its doors at the end of November 2024. It informs visitors about the facility and its research and shows how research contributes to solving societal challenges.

Interactive exhibits, multimedia and original parts illustrate the research facility in the permanent exhibition, which is supplemented by changing special exhibitions on various topics. Guided tours deepen the visit with an insight into the research facility.

In the Xcool Lab, students can carry out their own experiments on various topics in a physics and molecular biology laboratory. There are also a variety of exciting events to suit every taste.
