In the foreground is a cylindrical vacuum container containing an inflated chocolate marshmallow. You can already see a lot of the white foam filling next to the chocolate cap. Two girls are standing next to it, looking at the chocolate kiss and are very happy.

Experimenting in the vacuum lab

Can you hear a bell ringing in a vacuum? What happens to a balloon in a vacuum? How strong is the air and who manages to pull the Magdeburg hemispheres apart?

The DESY physik.begreifen is offering a total of four vacuum workshops for children aged 9 to 12 during the Hamburg summer vacation.

The workshops are offered as part of the Hamburg Holiday Pass. Participation is free of charge, but a binding registration is absolutely necessary!
