Kick-off event for the planning of the innovation park Altona: Shaping the future

As a pioneering project in the north of Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld, and positioned in the immediate vicinity of DESY , Innovationspark is intended to provide space for innovative companies, create jobs and strengthen the innovation network of the anchor institutions DESY and the University of Hamburg. At the same time, the aim is to intensify the green connection between Volkspark and Lurup .

In order to unite the diverse requirements and visions for the development area, a functional plan is being developed as an urban planning specification. The workshop process offers the opportunity to look over the shoulders of the urban planners, architects and landscape architects as they work. During the event, conceptual approaches will be presented and there will be an opportunity for dialog with the planning teams.

HIE Hamburg Invest Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG invites all interested parties to take part in the public kick-off event for the planning of the innovation park Altona .

 

The kick-off workshop for the development of the functional plan will take place on:

  • Monday, April 15, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Meeting point at the Start-up Labs Bahrenfeld, Luruper Hauptstraße 1. Registration is not required.

Background to the project Innovationspark Altona

The Innovationspark Altona in the west of Hamburg forms the northern prelude to Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld (SCHB) and is a key component of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg's innovation strategy. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the renowned Bahrenfeld research campus. With facilities such as the research center Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY), the University of Hamburg and pioneering institutions such as the X-ray laser research facility XFEL and PETRA, the region has become a center of attraction for first-class research and innovation. By bringing together science, business and community, the park strives to create a sustainable ecosystem that fosters innovation and creates jobs.
