Visit the European XFEL particle accelerator

As a major international research facility, European XFEL offers insights into state-of-the-art research.

The tour lasts 90-120 minutes in total and includes a guided tour of the exhibition and the experiment hall.

Important information about the tours

  • Minimum age: Forsafety reasons, visitors must be at least 14 years old.
  • Meeting point:At the Lighthouse information desk, Holzkoppel 4, 22869 Schenefeld. You can find information on how to get there on thecontact page.
  • Clothing and bags: Flat, closed shoes are mandatory in the experiment hall. Large bags and backpacks cannot be taken into the experiment hall, but lockers are available.
  • Photographyis permitted for non-commercial purposes. However, please do not photograph employees unless they have given their express consent.
  • Accessibility:Barrier-free movement is possible during the tour.
