Beate Eisenhardt introduces us to the birdlife on the European XFEL campus and in the Osdorfer Feldmark nature reserve on the border between Hamburg and Schenefeld .

Three kestrel chicks sit together in the sunshine.
The European XFEL campus in Schenefeld provides nesting sites for kestrels, among others.

kestrels, jackdaws, tree sparrows, black redstarts and various species of titmouse breed on the campus. Nesting boxes for swifts have also been installed. The nesting aids make an important contribution to species conservation.

Admission is free. No registration is required.
The lecture will be held in German.
