Lighthouse Science Slam

A young woman presents her research using creative methods.
The audience decides: Who will win the contest for the most charming presentation of a tricky problem?

At the Lighthouse Science Slam, scientists deliver ten-minute presentations on topics from their respective fields, aiming to win over the audience in the most concise and entertaining way possible—after all, it’s the audience that ultimately decides who wins and who loses. The topics for the second edition will be announced prior to the event.

A panel of audience members will select the winner of the evening. Experience has shown that the presentations at science slams are highly entertaining and offer even those outside the field exciting, firsthand insights into various areas of research.

The event will be held in German and is open to anyone aged 14 and older, even without prior scientific knowledge; younger participants are also welcome if they have an interest in the natural sciences.

Sven Kamin will host the evening.
