&Bahrenfeld – A Walk Through the Fields

A grassy ground covered with pink and white flowers.
The ground is covered with flowers

As part of the project &Bahrenfeld , there were several events over the past year—from the swap kiosk to the HERA hike and the water run. To wrap up this project, we’d like to invite you to join us for another walk, ending at the neighborhood festival in Bahrenfeld.

"Bodenansprache": A performative stroll through the streets of Bahrenfeld

By and starring: Esther Pilkington, Dr. Tim Eckhardt

When we walk, our feet touch the ground, over and over again, step by step. But what exactly is this ground? What is it made of, who owns it, and what lies beneath it? On this walk, we’ll explore the question of what exactly we’re walking on when we go for a walk.

Our route takes us through Bahrenfeld and across a variety of surfaces. Our feet touch streets, paths, and meadows. Together, we explore the nature of the ground beneath us, creating a dialogue between our everyday experiences of the city and scientific knowledge. Through scientific insights and artistic interventions, we experience the ground beneath us in a whole new way.

The walk ends at the Bahrenfeld neighborhood festival, where you’re invited to linger, chat, and join in the fun. We look forward to seeing you there!

Participation in the walks is free, but space is limited. We therefore ask that you register at: ko-kreativ@uni-hamburg.de
