Insights into the designs and work of the selection committee
Since October 2023, various planning teams have been developing ideas for urban development, open spaces and the distribution of uses in the "Quartiere am Volkspark", a new neighborhood with a diverse range of housing, social and educational infrastructure, university facilities and green open spaces in the Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld.
In February 2024, three teams were selected for the final processing phase as part of the "Competitive Dialogue". These three designs were then presented and exhibited to the neighborhood and interested citizens.
What has happened since then? How have the three planning teams developed their ideas for the "Quartiere am Volkspark"?
On July 7, in the run-up to the final meeting of the selection committee, there will be an opportunity to find out exactly that. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the planning teams will present their final designs in the auditorium of the Esther Bejarano School. There will also be an insight into the work of the selection committee with chairman Reiner Nagel (board member of the Federal Foundation of Baukultur) and other guests.
