Science. Innovation. Future - Welcome to Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld

A new district for everyone.

Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld

In the Science City, people come together and jointly develop ideas for a better life of tomorrow. Internationally leading institutions conduct research under excellent conditions in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and pharmacology and look for new ways to apply the research findings gained - for example for questions of health, digitalization, AI or for the development of sustainable materials. Connected to the interdisciplinary campus with a new generation of buildings and research facilities, a unique environment for innovative research-based companies is being created. At the same time, the Science City is a lively neighborhood in which highly attractive residential areas, green open spaces and a sustainable mobility concept are being implemented.

Quote Karen Pein

"In the coming decades, Science City Hamburg Bahrenfeld will be one of Hamburg's largest and most important urban development projects, where research, university teaching and young companies will merge with new residential areas and existing neighborhoods.
